I want to replace the battery in my 61LM. I am curious if other models batteries will work in the 61LM.

It is much safer to open the unit and get a type number from the existing battery, if you are only using the name of the unit, you need to use the full name as it could be a :-

Nuvi 61LM
Drive 61LM
Drivesmart 61LM

You will have to remove 4 external screws and possibly 4 internal screws holding the main board in place in order to get to the battery
