Can someone tell me whether it is possible for the audible speed alerts to stay on continually while
the vehicle exceeds the speed limit?

I can only make it beep for a few seconds after which it goes off. The unit is a DriveSmart 50 LM.

If this one will not allow the audible to stay on continually when exceeding the speed limit, is there another device that allows this?

    Regards
    Rob

Audible speed alerts are triggered when a threshold is crossed, so if you exceed the limit for the street you are in you will get an alert, if you stay above the limit you won't get another alert, but if you go below the limit and then exceed it again you will get a new alert, you will also get a new alert if the limit for your street changes and a threshold is crossed

As far as I know this 'threshold' rule applied to all models
