Hi. I have a Garmin Zumo XT and a Nuvii 2445.Both updated to their latest respective s/w and maps (as of Aug 10 2024)

I set a destination from SY5 0SB to EX2 8RG - same start, same destination. Both calculate a route. However, the routes calculated are quite, substantially, different. One route (XT) takes me down M54/M6/M5 whilst the 2445 takes me down a completely different route westerly via many smaller A roads, down to Newport.... Each unit has been reset to original settings (reset) but each give a completely different route. Any ideas?

Routes are calculated using the active map on each unit, if the map versions are different then different routing decisions can be made, also the unit will take into account any selected preferencies eg:- avoid (or use) motorways, side roads, toll roads, fastest, shortest etc.
