Download Openstreet maps

    Hello,

    I need to have openstreet maps of France, UK and Italy on my Garmin maps 64. The use is walking so i need the topographic maps. I could download the maps but the maps don't show the POI's and names, which means I see no names of mountains, villages, streets, whatsoever. I use the site

    and then transfered the maps on my GPS using Basecamp and the img file. Can anybody hep me ?

    Open Street Maps files have to be converted to Garmin format before they can loaded onto a GPS units, during this conversion certain 'layers' are removed from the original OSM map files in order to reduce file size and complexity, unfortunately this process can remove layers that the end user may require, my only suggestion is to try a different OSM to garmin conversion, here is a link to some other garmin map conversions: -
