downloading topo maps

    Hi
    I'm trying to download a topo map from GPS file depot. I have Map set Tool Kit and basecamp. Problem is that the map is a typ. file and and according to Map set Tool Kit it should be a img. file. I'am fairly new to this so please bear with me. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there is and easer way of doing it. Thanks

    I'm not sure why a *.typ file would be on GPS file depot, here is a definition of a *.typ file
    My understanding is that topo maps from GPS file depot (for Windows) are *.exe files that run to install map files that can be seen in Garmin Basecamp (or Garmin Mapsource), from Basecamp they are sent to a GPS using the Maps >> Map Install option
