I'm trying to enter a waypoint manually with a W of 83° 62183 but I can't go higher than 83° 59999.... When I cursor up on the 5 it goes back to zero then 1,2,3,4,5
    I'm using a Magellan explorist 400
    Any suggestions?

If you are entering deimal degrees then 83.62183 is valid, but if you are entering degrees and seconds (83 62.183) or degrees, seconds and minutes (83 62 18.3) then the '6' is not valid because 'seconds' and 'minutes' can only count up to 59, you need to select degrees only not degrees + seconds or degrees + seconds + minutes

Have a look at this link Click here, you need format 1 NOT format 2 or 3
