Etrex Legend malfunction

    For a while, my old blue Etrex Legend loses its marbles: getting frozen from time to time...I first dumped everything (hard reset) with long "on" depress w/o success. Then I went on Garmin website which is advising to download the last firmware. Problem : no way to establish the link between the Etrex and the computer with the dedicated USB cable. Any hint about that ? I know that this unit is not worth a fortune but it is a mater of recycling something instead of dumping. Your advices are welcome.
