    Hi Guys,
I live in the South West of the UK and have issues with my Drive 52 in that the speed limits shown often switch between the correct limit and odd speeds. Speeds such as 43mph or 19mph or even 35mph!!

As an example I travelled along the A303 in Somerset today and where the limit was often 70mph the satnave switched between the correct 70 and 43mph at least 10 times over 20 miles!!. On the A36 it showed 40 in a 30 zone and 19mph in Salisbury (correct limit was 30mph.

Is anyone have this issue with their 52? If not what map version are you using. Mine is V9.7 recently update via Garmin Express V 7.23.0.0

V9.7 doesn't sound like the version of the current map, it's more like a software version, I would expect the title and version of the map to be something like City Navigator Europe NTU 2025.10, the speed limit for a road (or part of a road) are embeded into the map itself, but I have only ever seen (in the UK) 70, 60, 50, 40, 30 and 20

What is the 'full' name and version of your current map ?

    Thank you for your reply.
The full name is as you mentioned above, 'City Navigator Europe 2025.10' The issue has be there for at least 9 months and before the last few updates. The two most common incorrect speed limits are 19mph around towns and 43mph motorways and dual carriageways. The locations have included SW UK, the Peak District and parts of Buckinghamshire / Gloucestershire. I have now reset to factory state, removed all POI's and updated all maps so the unit is as clean as possible. I note from the internet that some people have also occasionally had some incorrect limits, both on Garmin and Tom Tom map version.JPG U 2025.10'

It is not uncommon for users to report incorrect road speeds due to the limit changing or just being entered incorrectly in the first place, however I don't think values of 19 and 43 could ever be correct, it sounds move like an operating system error but I can't think of a fix apart from the Factory reset that you have already tried

    Thanks for the reply.

I'll wait until I am traveling along a known issue route again and see if the problem is still there
