I recently purchased a GPSMAP 64s primarily for hiking. I downloaded a 24k Topo from gpsfiledepot which is decent but I really need trail maps (local and state parks). Would the 24k Topo maps that Garmin sells include these? I live in New England (Western Mass).

Not sure what map details are included in 24k Topo maps that Garmin sells, have a look at the OpenStreetMaps for the area you are interested in, if they contain the map details you require, you can download Garmin compatible OSM maps for free, links below :-
