Map Update Frequency Reduced

    Hi all,

    Over recent years Garmin has steadily reduced map update frequency for Australia & New Zealand from 4 to 2 annually.
    Is this the case for other regions?
    What do fellow Garmin users think about this reduction in service?

    Yes Garmin do appear to be reducing their map update frequency, here is a list of map releases for USA and Europe, note that the guys who produced this list used to calculate the number of days between releases, but have now stopped doing this for Europe :-

    I have added the last Europe NTU day intervals in red :-

    2019.10 NTU - Jun 06, 2018 (Wed) => 175
    2019.20 NTU - Aug 29, 2018 (Tue) => 89
    2019.30 NTU - Jan 03, 2019 (Thu) => 127
    2020.10 NTU - Jun 13, 2019 (Wed) => 161
    2020.20 NTU - Sep 11, 2019 (Wed) => 90
    2020.30 NTU - Jan 16, 2020 (Thu) => 97 actual = 127
    2021.30 NTU - May 03, 2021 (Mon) = 473
    2022.20 NTU - Nov 11, 2021 (Thurs) = 192
    2023.10 NTU - May 19, 2022 (Thurs) = 189
    2024.10 NTU - Apr 20, 2023 (Thurs) = 336
