Maprika unable to name waypoints

Hi
was not able to find any posts on this app.
I have been using the Maprika gps app on my iphone 4 for some time, mainly to record gpx tracks, but recently I am unable to name the waypoints, making the app less than useful. I chose this app because I can use any jpg or png as a map on the unit as it allows me to geo-code/calibrate them for use.
There has been a recent upgrade to the iphone os to v 7.0.2.
I have been unsuccessful in trying to contact the developer via the web site despite several emails, though this is probably common for phone apps due to volume of enquiries I guess.
Are others having the same problem? If so then I will await an upgrade via the App Store, but if not I will hunt around and select another app.
