I purchased a Street Pilot 2820 when it was new (2006?) and the only GPS able to use with my motorcycle at the time. It can connect simultaneously with my phone and helmet communicator. I stopped riding several years ago, however, I recently started riding again and having this GPS connected lets me make and answer calls, however, due to its’ age, Garmin doesn’t offer map updates.

Does anyone know of a way to get the latest map Garmin offered before it dropped support? This is a great unit with many features later units don’t offer.

Many thanks for any guidance you may offer.

I don't think you will find a Garmin map because Garmin uses a map locking system that resticts where maps can be installed, I would suggest that you install Garmin Basecamp onto a computer and then select a free map based on Open Street Maps, these can be installed onto the computer and viewed using Basecamp, then use the map install option in Basecamp to select a map (or a smaller part of the map) and send it to your 2820, it will allow you to examine the memory space on your 2820 and create more space by erasing old maps if required
