    i have a zumo 595

i can easily create a route and send it to the internal memory no problem the gps see and import it no issue

when i send the route to the external memory ( sd card ) with basecamp it send it properly but when i power the gps it not importing and new route and i can find it in the import option too

it give me the impression the gps dont see the sd card is it possible ? I see the sd card on the windows explorer

    8gb sd card fat32 format

    any ideal?

Are you sure you are sending the Route to the right drive from Basecamp ?

    nuvi.jpg

In this example 3 drives are displayed :-

    1) Drive F: is the Internal storage
    2) Drive K: is the Internal User Data
    3) Drive M: is the microSD card User Data

If you send a Route to 1) or 3) your Route will be viewable in the Satnav, if you send the Route to 2) it won't be viewable

    You are actually right
I did send the route to (in your example drive K data area)
For some reason basecamp don't show me other drive

So my basecamp directory show memory card user data
and my windows show the sd card
i do have the choice to send it to memory card or user data either one dont work when i star the zumo

If I create 3 routes called test-1, test-2 and test-3 in Basecamp and send as :-

test-1 is sent to my Nuvi 56 F: = is contained in file (Windows) F:/GPX/Current.gpx
test-2 is sent to my Garmin K: = is contained in file (Windows) K:/Garmin/GPX/Route.gpx
test-3 is sent to my Memory Card M: = is contained in file (Windows) M:/Garmin/GPX/Route.gpx

But only test-1 and test-3 can be seen on the Satnav Main Screen >> Apps >> Trip Planner

Can you examin your Memory Card folder using Windows to look for the equivalent od my M:/Garmin/GPX/Route.gpx

i do have a drive that have a folder name
    Garmin/GPX/route##

    see attachement

but if i create a new route and send to the sdcard
i can find it any where ( in my case APP>TRACK.>WRENCH>IMPORT

if i send to the internal memory it import it by itself when i open the gps ...again

You are looking in the wrong place on your 595, a ROUTE and a TRACK are not the same thing, have you looked in :-

Satnav Main Screen >> Apps >> Trip Planner

As shown in my post #4?

It is very misleading that Garmin use 'Trip Planner' on some GPS / Satnav devices and 'Route Planner' on others, when they are the same thing
